Oetzi

Ötzi, also called the Iceman, is the natural mummy of a man who lived some time between 3350 and 3105 BC, discovered in September 1991 in the Ötztal Alps (hence the nickname “Ötzi”) on the border between Austria and Italy. In the museum in Bozen his body was reconstructed.

      1. OK, just found one site which suggests a place in Nürnberg which sold herbs and spices, then Collins dictionary suggested country bumpkin, which to my mind fits!

      2. I guess it’s a kind of gnome with a gnarly face but it’s applied (not favourably and not to their face) to old men in Bavaria and Austria.
