November Woodland

Our forest was established in 1871 and is called “exotic forest”. All kind of exotic trees were planted here. Although the climate has not proved entirely hospitable, and the original catalog of 150 species  has subsequently dwindled to about 50, many mature specimens still remain,One of the main attractions is a large group of sequoia trees.

  1. How wonderful! A shame that many of the species didn’t survive but good that the sequoias did. Magnificent trees . I like the last one showing the density of the bark.
