Chestnut Fountain

“The shape of the fountain is modeled like a chestnut. The spiky shell has smooth cut surfaces where out of oversized lips the life-giving water swells on the figures and creates a peculiar but appealing contrast.”



I didn’t quite understand the meaning of this piece of art, but I liked it. It was given from the city of Amberg to its sister city Bad Bergzabern, a spa in southwestern Germany.
