Sume Brunnen

This fountain sits on the Heumarkt (Hay Market)in Heidelberg. It is dedicated to the children of the old town. It was created in 1991.  The children growing up on the River Neckar used to be called “Neggasume”. Sume (seed) is dialect language and the small transparent fishes that must grow until they are right fish.
