As far as I can remember the famous castle of Heidelberg has always been covered with scaffolding. When we heard the first half of May there will be none we had to take the opportunity. There is only tiny bit covered on the foot of the powder tower.

I think the renovation means to keep it in its present state. Yes, it is a very pretty city. Even we live very close we like to visit. I am travelling right now (https://geriatrixcorner.wordpress.com) and don’t have internet all the time. Don’t worry, I will come back whenever possible.

Wow! It must be so good to see the castle without all the scaffolding. I visited Heidelberg in 2003, or was is 2004, as a teen on a sort of school trip. I recall the castle and I loved how much history there is everywhere. Beautiful photos.
